I am married to David and we have two beautiful daughters, a playful young black Labrador and a Chihuahua puppy called Luna. View of Beauty has been a vision and a dream I have had for over four years ago but owing to various reasons, I needed to wait for the right time to bring the vision alive. I started out with a career in physiotherapy, studying at the University of Liverpool and graduating in 2004 with a degree in Physiotherapy BSc (Hons). It was a fulfilling career working with patients to restore functioning of the body, improve their well being and quality of life. It was however a challenging time with little opportunity to progress my career. I spent the next 14 years in pharmaceuticals, working at both Glaxosmithkline and Bayer Healthcare, leading, managing, developing and coaching teams to be successful and achieve both business and personal goals. It was a career I very much enjoyed, I am passionate to see people develop and succeed. I am competitive and determined and was able to drive my own development, success and personal goals. I achieved for me and for others and learnt a lot about myself, grew in confidence and developed skills and capabilities in many areas. There was a lot of success but at a price, it was hard work and long hours. Not easy when you are juggling your time with having a young family. A change was needed. I identified an opportunity to utilise the skills, capabilities and confidence I had developed, alongside my physiotherapy degree and passion in health, well being and beauty to open, View of Beauty. My aim is to create an environment whereby people can invest time in themselves, escape from their busy lives into a beautiful and tranquil retreat. This retreat is our home, in which we have planned, designed and built over the last 5 years. A beautiful place, we love very much and want to share with others. Located two miles from Whitby, View of Beauty is a luxury mini day spa, overlooking the breath taking views of the Esk Valley in the North Yorkshire Moors. Here we offer personalised and exclusive use of this beautiful countryside retreat. At View of Beauty I am bringing my dream alive, investing time in others, creating a positive, friendly, relaxing and peaceful environment where individuals can invest time in themselves, in their health, wellbeing and wellness. This service must be booked a minimum of 7 days in advance of your spa day and is payable in advance. We work with a renowned local bakers Botham’s of Whitby. Please let us know on booking if you would like to add a celebration cake to your package, and we can organise this for you (10 days notice required). At View of Beauty we prepare and serve our very own afternoon teas, working in partnership with local suppliers of the finest local produce.
